Golden Sands is located in the northern Bulgarian Black Sea.It is located 18 km from Varna, 131 km from Burgas, 385 km from Plovdiv and 456 km from Sofia. Golden Sands is one of the most famous and beautiful Bulgarian Black Sea resort complexes.It was built according to a project by a team of Bulgarian architects.Nature has gifted the resort with nearly four kilometers of beach, 80 to 100 m wide and covered with magnificent sand.Along its entire length, the beach is decorated by a broad-leaved oak-hornbeam forest that reaches the Frangensko plateau.
The climate is warm and mild, in July the air temperature is 22°C, and the water temperature is from 20° to 28°C.During the summer days, a light wind blows from the sea (breeze), combined with the moderate coolness that comes from the forest.On the beach itself there are two mineral springs, rich in hydrogen sulphide, with a water temperature of 24°C.The water of the springs is used in the "International" and "Havana" hotels.
